Hello, welcome, and thank you for your interest in my art and personhood. I am an Athens, GA based multi-disciplinary artist from Philadelphia, PA. My work is heavily influence by the profound beauty of the natural world and my own exploration of space, time, thought, and emotion. People often recognize my work based on its technicolor palettes, bold forms, and dream-like feeling.

My background is rooted in scientific study, and it would be a disservice to my student debt not to mention the Bachelor’s degree in Biology I hold from Temple University. However, my working life to date has been diverse, with ten years spent as a veterinary technician, a short stint as a zookeeper, a summer supporting deep-sea coral research in a Temple University laboratory, two years in biomedical research and medical device development, and 3 months living in Belgium entertaining the idea of riding horses professionally. Nearly attending veterinary school on two different occasions, I eventually left the vet med field in 2022 and embarked on a journey living closer to the land and closer to my own spirit. I now spend my days under the big beautiful sky working on a small organic vegetable and flower farm. This shift in lifestyle has encouraged me to be a more curious, joyful, earnest, and honest being.

I have made art since I was very young, and grown with the help of other artists along the way. I am grateful that my education in the arts has been largely informal and self-taught. My gratitude is in that when I make art it feels wholly experimental, earnest, and personal in ways that education can train out of you. Every piece remains a new frontier.

In my work I explore themes of daydreams, love, lust, adventure, serendipity, spirituality, and the improbable experience of being human in this world. Much of the work I have made in the past is drawn from an abstract space I call “Somewhere Else” – an idealistic Eden in the imagination outside of reality’s reach. For me, this has been a place to imagine possibilities, seek shelter from the oppression of physical existence, experiment with limitlessness, and find magic to bring back to the present. It is a place I have visited to ask big questions and find big answers. However, in my evolution as a person and artist, I have found that I no longer lean on this “somewhere else” for its visions and comfort. Rather, I have found much more inspiration coming from the visions and experiences in the fabric of the here and now. I have come to appreciate “Here and Now” as vivid, psychedelic, and inspiring with a depth that “Somewhere Else” cannot match. The revelation of truths and images from the Here and Now have proven much more infinite than I ever thought possible. It is these realizations and explorations that lead me to continue expanding my ideas.
